We work out the total using our published rates and confirm it by text or WhatsApp before we set off. If anything extra turns out to be needed, like skates for a locked wheel, we'll ask you first.

Loaded with care
Electric handbrakes, locked wheels and cars stuck in park need the right kit. We use recovery skates and a winch where needed, so the car comes away cleanly and without damage.

Questions
Breakdown recovery: your questions
Is car recovery the same as towing?
Near enough, and most people use the words interchangeably. The difference is that we carry your car on a flatbed or trailer rather than towing it along on its own wheels, which is much safer for automatics, 4x4s, EVs and anything with a gearbox or drive problem.
Do you recover cars after an accident?
Yes, as long as it's safe to load. Crash-damaged vehicles take longer to secure, so there's an extra £30–£60, which we confirm before we set off. If the police are at the scene, follow their instructions first, and tell us if your insurer has already arranged recovery.
Can you take my car straight to my garage?
Yes. Tell us where it's going when you call and we'll include it in the price. If the garage is closed, we can take it home and move it another time.
My car has an electric handbrake that won't release. Can you still move it?
Yes. That's exactly what recovery skates are for. They take the weight of the locked wheels so the car can be loaded without damage. Skates are £40 for one or two wheels, or £60 for all four, only if needed, and we'll always check with you first.
I've lost the keys. Can you still move the car?
Yes. Skates let us move a car that won't roll, including one with no keys. Before we load it, we'll ask you to show it's yours, for example with the V5C logbook and photo ID.
Do you recover vans?
Not yet. We're recovering cars and motorbikes for now, with van recovery coming soon. We can still test and replace van batteries where you are.
How is the price worked out?
It's a call-out charge plus a rate per mile, counted from where we collect your vehicle to where we drop it off. The call-out covers us reaching you within 10 miles of our NG5 base. Daytime and night rates are published on our prices page, and we confirm your total before we set off.
