1. Who we are
Roadvault Transport is a trading name of Roadvault Transport Europe & UK Ltd, a private limited company registered in England and Wales (company number 17447134), registered office 6 Freemantle Walk, Nottingham, NG5 9LH. Telephone 07784 540841, email info@roadvaulttransport.co.uk. Your contract is with Roadvault Transport Europe & UK Ltd.
2. Prices
Our current prices are published on our prices page. In summary:
- Recovery (cars and motorbikes): daytime (8am to 8pm, every day except bank holidays) £85 call-out plus £2.50 a mile; nights & bank holidays (8pm to 8am, plus all day on bank holidays) £135 call-out plus £2.50 a mile. The first 5 miles are included in the call-out.
- Miles are counted from where we collect your vehicle to where we drop it off, rounded up to the next whole mile. The call-out covers us reaching you within 10 miles of our NG5 base. Beyond that, travel to reach you is £1 a mile by day or £1.50 at night for each extra mile.
- Jump starts: £50 by day, £100 at night, including the call-out within our area.
- Batteries: an all-in price for the battery and fitting, given before we come out.
- Extras apply only if needed, and we’ll tell you before we charge any of them: recovery skates, one or two wheels: £40; recovery skates, all four wheels: £60; complex loading: from £80; 4x4s and damaged vehicles: £30–£60; waiting time: £30 per 30 minutes; winching: priced before we start.
Our prices are the total you pay. There's no VAT to add. We never charge a fee for paying by card.
3. Quotes and confirmation
Our online estimator gives an estimate only. Before we set off, we confirm the total price and what’s included by text or WhatsApp. That confirmation is our agreement with you. We’ll only change the price if something extra is needed that neither of us knew about (for example, skates for a locked wheel), and only with your agreement before we do it.
4. Cancelling
Recovery, jump starts and battery replacement are urgent work you’ve asked us to carry out straight away, so the usual 14-day cancellation right doesn’t apply once we’ve set off. If you no longer need us, please tell us as soon as possible. We won’t charge for a cancelled or wasted call-out unless we told you the charge before we set off.
5. What we ask of you
- Give us an accurate location and tell us honestly about the vehicle and the problem.
- Tell us about anything that affects loading, such as an electric handbrake, EV or hybrid, low suspension, damage or leaks.
- Make sure you have the right to have the vehicle moved, and that someone can hand over the keys.
- Remove valuables and personal belongings before we move the vehicle.
- Stay somewhere safe while you wait. On a motorway or fast road, that means behind the barrier.
6. Looking after your vehicle
We carry out our work with reasonable care and skill. We may photograph the vehicle when we collect and deliver it to record its condition. We’re responsible for loss or damage we cause through our own negligence or breach of these terms, but not for existing faults or damage, or for loss we couldn’t reasonably have foreseen. Nothing in these terms limits your legal rights as a consumer, or our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
7. Safety
We won’t work in a live lane of a motorway or anywhere we believe is unsafe, and we may stop or decline a job for safety reasons. If that happens before we’ve done any work, there’s no charge.
8. Payment
Payment is due when the job is complete, unless we agree otherwise when you book. We’ll confirm how you can pay when we confirm the price. We never add a surcharge for paying by card.
9. Batteries and parts
Batteries we supply are new and come with the manufacturer’s warranty, which we’ll confirm on your invoice. This is on top of your legal rights: goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described.
10. Complaints
If something isn’t right, tell us on 07784 540841, by WhatsApp or at info@roadvaulttransport.co.uk and we’ll try to put it right quickly. We aim to respond to complaints within 5 working days. If we can’t resolve it, we’ll tell you whether an alternative dispute resolution scheme is available.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
