Good to know in Nottingham city centre
Multi-storey and underground car parks
Most city-centre car parks have a height limit that a recovery vehicle can't get under. When you call, tell us the car park, the level and the height on the sign. Often a jump start sorts it where it stands. If not, we'll talk you through the options, such as moving it on skates to somewhere it can be loaded.
Tram lines and bus lanes
On streets with tram tracks, a car can't always be loaded exactly where it stopped. If it will still roll or steer, move it into a side street or loading bay. If you're stuck across tram tracks and can't move, get everyone out and call 999: a tram can't steer around you.
Permit zones and narrow streets
Around Sneinton, St Ann's and the Meadows, many streets are permit parking with little room to load. When you call, we'll tell you where we'll pull in, and we load quickly so the street isn't held up for long.

The first 5 miles are included in the call-out
Miles are counted from where we collect your vehicle to where we drop it off. The call-out also covers us reaching you anywhere within 10 miles of our NG5 base.
Nights & bank holidays
8pm to 8am, plus all day on bank holidays
£135 call-out + £2.50 a mile

Miles are counted from where we collect your vehicle to where we drop it off. The call-out also covers us reaching you anywhere within 10 miles of our NG5 base.
Example: a 20-mile recovery within our area costs £122.50 in the day or £172.50 at night, in total.

Can you get into city-centre car parks?
Usually not with the recovery vehicle itself, because of the height limits. Tell us the car park and the level. Most of the time we can get the car started where it is, or move it on skates to where it can be loaded.
Is there an extra charge for the city centre?
No. The city centre is well inside our core area, so it's the normal call-out and mileage, with no travel charge and no congestion surcharge.
